AWS QA Automation Engineer – Serverless & AI Testing

Hiring: AWS QA Engineer – App Modernization & AI-Driven Testing

Location: London, UK (Hybrid)

Duration: 4–6 Months Contract

We are looking for an experienced AWS QA Engineer to join a large-scale application modernization program. This role focuses on testing cloud-native, serverless, and event-driven applications on AWS while leveraging AI-assisted testing capabilities through AWS Kiro.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute test strategies for AWS serverless applications
• Validate solutions built using:
  • AWS Lambda
  • API Gateway
  • Amazon EventBridge
  • Amazon Kinesis Data Streams
  • DynamoDB
  • Amazon S3
• Develop and maintain automated test suites for:
  • APIs
  • Event-driven workflows
  • Streaming data processing
  • Data persistence and validation
• Support application modernization initiatives through:
  • Functional Testing
  • Regression Testing
  • System Integration Testing (SIT)
• Leverage AI-assisted testing tools (AWS Kiro preferred) for:
  • Test case generation
  • Test data creation
  • Automated validation and defect detection
• Execute performance, resilience, and security testing for serverless workloads
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows

Required Skills

• Strong QA Automation experience in cloud-native environments
• Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, EventBridge, Kinesis, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and S3
• Experience testing event-driven and serverless architectures
• API testing expertise using Postman or similar tools
• Experience with automation frameworks such as Jest, Java/Spring Boot, or equivalent
• Strong understanding of microservices and API-first architectures
• Experience with distributed systems testing and data validation

• BDD frameworks (Cucumber)

• CloudWatch monitoring
• Kafka / Amazon MSK
• Performance and Security Testing
