Summary: We are seeking an experienced Business Transformation Programme Manager to lead complex transformation initiatives within a manufacturing environment in Central Scotland. The role requires an individual with a proven track record of independently managing end-to-end transformation programmes across multiple workstreams, including operations, supply chain, and commercial change. This position involves engaging closely with executive stakeholders and steering committees to drive transformation from strategy through to execution. The ideal candidate will have strong governance and stakeholder leadership skills, along with a deep understanding of manufacturing environments. This role is expected to last approximately 8 months, with a potential extension, and will require an onsite presence for about 3 days per week, offering flexibility for strong candidates.
Overview

This role requires an individual who h as independently led end-to-end transformation program mes, managi ng multiple workstreams across operations, supply chain, commercial and organisational cha nge, rather than operating within a single functional domain (e.g. HR or I T). You will act as a senior external programme lead, driving transformation from strategy through to execution, while engaging closely with executive stakeholders and steering commit tees. The critical distinction is this: they are looking for an external programme manager who has independently governed complex, multi-workstream transformation programmes, reporting to a steering committee or client stakeho lders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale business transformation programmes, spanning operational, supply chain, commercial and structural w orkstreams
- Establish a nd manage programme governance, including reporting into steering committees and executiv e spon sors
- Drive cross-functional alignment, ensuring consistency and momentum across multiple transformati on pillars
- Identify a nd manage interdependencies, risks and deliver y blockers, ensuring timely escalation and resoluti on
- Oversee change management and business readiness, ensuring successful adoption across all impa cted areas
- Develop an d execute programme communication strategies, aligned to senior stakeholder and operati onal needs
- Track and report progres s against benefits, milestones, and transform ation KPIs
- Build strong relationships across senior leadership teams to influence decision-making and sec ure buy-in
Key Requirements
- Proven exper ience as an external Progr amme Mana ger leading complex, multi-workstream business transformatio n programmes
- Demonstrated o wnership of end-to-end transformat ion delivery, not limited to a single function (e.g. HR, IT, Finance)
- Strong under standing of manufacturing environments, including operations, supply chain, and commer cial drivers
- Experience governing pr ogrammes at SteerCo / exe cutive level, including reporting and stakeholde r management
- Ability to ope rate across strategic and del ivery layers, from shaping direction to drivi ng execution
- Track record of delivering transf ormation in complex, ambiguous environme nts
