Contract Opportunity – D365 Finance & Operations Functional Architect
Location: London, UK (Remote - Occasional Visit)
Contract Role
Experience: 10–12 Years
We are looking for an experienced D365 Finance & Operations Functional Architect to lead end-to-end solution design and functional architecture across Finance and Supply Chain domains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the functional solution blueprint across Finance and SCM
- Lead fit-gap analysis, process harmonization, and design governance
- Drive integrations, reporting, data migration, and compliance requirements
- Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver scalable solutions
- Oversee CRP, UAT, Go-Live, Hypercare, and cutover planning
- Ensure adherence to Microsoft best practices and upgrade-ready architecture
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of ERP functional consulting experience
- 5+ years leading D365 F&O solution design initiatives
- Proven experience delivering at least 2 end-to-end D365 F&O implementations
- Strong expertise across Finance (GL, AP, AR, FA, Tax, Cash & Bank, Budgeting) and Supply Chain modules
- Deep understanding of Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report, and cross-functional integrations
- Hands-on experience with LCS, Azure DevOps, RSAT, Data Entities, and Power BI governance
- Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, VAT/GST/WHT, compliance, and audit controls
- Excellent stakeholder management and design authority experience
- Strong technical understanding of integrations, reporting, and data migration
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with German accounting principles and D365 Finance localization for Germany
- Familiarity with DATEV and Lexware financial systems
- German language proficiency
- Microsoft D365 Finance and/or Supply Chain certifications
- Experience with Power Platform, Azure Integration Services, and CoE/global template rollouts
- Industry experience in Manufacturing, Retail, or Distribution
