Summary: The ETL Test Lead role involves leading an ETL team with a focus on bank regulatory reporting. The position requires extensive experience in data analysis, testing, and defect management, with responsibilities spanning from test strategy development to execution and reporting. The role is based in Milton Keynes and requires a proactive individual capable of working independently with large datasets. The contract is set to last until December 31, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide inputs into Overall Test Strategy & Approach for the Project.
- Support and input into detailed test plans for various test phases.
- Analyse Requirements and Design documents to create Test cases and manage tests across the test life cycle.
- Write Test Scenarios and Test Cases for various Test Phases and provide UAT Support.
- Execute Test Scenarios & Test cases as per the agreed plan and schedule.
- Identify & log defects and participate in defect triage.
- Input identified RAID to Test Lead &/or Test Manager and support reporting into TAG Board.
- Provide Reports on Test status as requested periodically.
- Ensure all testing activities align with the Organisation's Testing Policy & Strategy.
- Provide UAT & ELS Support via Test creation, Test Preparation, and Test execution.
- Create Knowledge Transfer documentation as requested by Test Lead/Test Manager.
- Support creation and maintenance of Test RTM.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in end-to-end data analysis and testing.
- Understanding of ETL, data reconciliation, validation, and defect triage.
- Ability to work independently and manage large datasets.
- Strong communication skills for writing defect descriptions and escalating issues.
- Familiarity with source-to-target mapping and data quality checks.
- Experience in creating Test Scenarios, Test Cases, and Test Plans.

Role Description:
Must have ETL team lead, Bank Regulatory reporting experience
1. Proven experience in end-to-end data analysis and testing - across multiple cutovers and cycles
2. Understanding of ETL, data reconciliation, validation, and defect triage
3. Comfortable working with large datasets and identifying transformation or mapping issues
4. Able to work independently - Proactive, self-sufficient, and structured
5. Can write clear defect descriptions and escalate data load/reconciliation issues effectively
6. Familiar with source-to-target mapping, data quality checks, and post-load validation
1. Overall Test Strategy & Approach: Where required, provide inputs into Overall Test Strategy & Approach for the Project.
2. Phase Test Plans: Support and input into detailed test plans for various test phases.
3. Test Analysis: Analyse Requirements and Design documents to create Test cases, identify pre-requisites and manage tests across the test life cycle.
4. Test Preparation: Write Test Scenarios and Test Cases for various Test Phases. Input into Test Automation Script, Test data preparation and provide UAT Support. Identify Regression Test cases, create and update Regression Test pack.
5. Test Execution: Execute Test Scenarios & Test cases as per the agreed plan and schedule across various different Test phases & Test cycles.
6. Defect Management: Identify & log defects. Participate & support defect triage.
7. RAID: Input identified RAID to Test Lead &/or Test Manager.
Support reporting into TAG (Test Assurance and Governance) Board.
8. Test Reporting: Provide Reports on Test status as requested by the Test Lead/Test Manager periodically.
9. Test Assurance: Input status into Entry/Exit criteria and provide evidence for all pre requisites identified.
Support Go/No-Go meetings & regular Test check point meetings.
10. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all testing activities align with the Organisation's Testing Policy & Stratergy.
Conduct and participate in Peer reviews.
11. Test Support: Provide UAT & ELS Support via Test creation, Test Preparation, Test execution, Defect Retests, Regression Tests, Demo's, etc.
12. Knowledge Management: Across the Test Lifecycle, provide test knowledge support where reqiured. Create Knowledge Transfer documentation at various different points in the project as requested by Test Lead/Test Manager.
13. Test RTM: Support creation and maintenance of Test RTM.
