Key Responsibilities:
- Lead financial reporting for interim and year-end accounts, ensuring accurate disclosures, strong ledger integrity, and alignment with required reporting standards.
- Oversee Accounts Payable operations, including staff management, invoice processing performance, purchase order controls, and continuous improvement of purchase-to-pay processes.
- Manage balance sheet activities, including monthly reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and oversight of the fixed asset register (capitalisation, depreciation, reclassification).
- Coordinate external audits, prepare audit documentation, maintain audit trails, and support implementation of audit recommendations.
- Provide technical accounting guidance, maintain accounting policies, interpret relevant financial frameworks, and prepare briefing papers on accounting treatments.
- Ensure tax and compliance accuracy, including VAT returns and reconciliations, and support preparation of financial estimates and classifications for government submissions.
- Drive process improvement, contributing to finance transformation initiatives and ensuring Accounts Payable workstreams progress effectively.
- Collaborate across finance functions, supporting Accounts Receivable, strengthening financial controls, and contributing to fraud-risk governance.
- Undertake additional duties as required to support the wider finance function.
Key Skills:
