The engineer will be responsible for modernizing infrastructure and enabling automated cloud adoption. This role is ideal for candidates with a deep understanding of cloud technologies and operational support across multiple cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform modules and reusable IaC patterns.
  • Develop Ansible playbooks and roles to automate OS hardening, application deployment, patching, and configuration.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins/GitHub Actions for image builds, vulnerability scanning, and automated deployments.
  • Create and maintain Helm charts for application deployment on GKE clusters.
  • Configure and manage Istio service mesh for traffic routing, security, and observability.
  • Lead large-scale server and application migrations from on-prem data centers to GCP.
  • Migrate ELK stack from on-prem to cloud, including Logstash, Filebeat, and dashboard integrations.
  • Configure secure connectivity between on-prem and cloud (VPNs, VPC Peering, IAM federation).
  • Support the modernization of legacy applications via containerization and cloud-native deployment models.
  • Provision and manage GKE clusters with emphasis on performance, resilience, and security.
  • Harden container images, remediate vulnerabilities (Aqua/Qualys/Trivy), and enforce best practices.
  • Deploy distributed applications, message queues (RabbitMQ), caching services (Memcached), and proprietary services using Helm.
  • Implement autoscaling, monitoring, and health checks for microservices and workloads.
  • Support Teradata Vantage PaaS customers across AWS, Azure, and GCP in a 24x7 operational environment.
  • Troubleshoot VM performance issues, crashes, or connectivity problems with cloud providers.
  • Ensure uptime, SLA, SLO compliance, and proactive monitoring of large-scale deployments.
  • Implement CIS benchmark-based OS and cloud hardening policies.
  • Integrate security solutions such as Trend Micro, Qualys, and cloud-native scanning services.
  • Configure IAM, RBAC, service accounts, and identity federation (GCDS + PingFederate).
  • Enable audit logs, aggregated log routing, and SIEM integration (Splunk, Stackdriver, PagerDuty).
  • Design GCP foundation architectures (Resource Hierarchy, IAM, VPCs, Subnets, Firewall, Logging).
  • Develop HLD/LLD documentation, runbooks, and reusable design patterns.
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand technical requirements and compliance needs (HIPAA, finance security guidelines).

Key Skills:

  • 6+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience (GCP preferred; AWS/Azure beneficial).
  • Strong experience in GCP services: Compute Engine, GKE, IAM, VPC, Cloud SQL, Stackdriver, Cloud Identity.
  • Proficiency with IaC and automation: Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub, Helm, Docker.
  • Real-world Kubernetes operations experience, including service mesh (Istio).
  • Experience designing and migrating enterprise workloads to cloud.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud networking (VPC, VPN, firewall rules, peering).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging platforms (ELK, Stackdriver, LogicMonitor).
  • Troubleshooting skills for Linux systems, VM issues, containerized workloads, and cloud-native services.
  • Experience with security and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, CIS benchmarks).
  • Background in multi-cloud operations and SRE/CloudOps environments.
  • Experience creating hardened golden images using Packer/Cloud Build.
  • Exposure to event-driven architectures and cloud-native CI/CD pipelines.
