What will the Head of Care and Quality Assurance role look like?

As the interim Head of Care and Quality Assurance, you'll continue to lead our care and quality assurance teams, providing visionary leadership and fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability. Your responsibilities will include developing strategic plans, overseeing care delivery, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and visionary leader with a strong track record of delivering outstanding results in a similar role within the social care sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong leadership to our care and quality assurance teams, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans and quality assurance programmes to drive excellence in service delivery.
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality care services, ensuring individual needs are met and person-centred care is maintained.
  • Directly line manage our Registered Managers, Quality & Compliance Manager, and Operational Support Manager.
  • Monitor and evaluate care practices, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
  • Develop and maintain robust quality assurance systems and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate care provision effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives and provide guidance and support to staff to drive performance excellence.
  • Provide training and support to ensure staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality care.
  • Stay informed about relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards.

What we are looking for in the Head of Care and Quality Assurance:

This will suit someone who thrives in a dynamic environment where innovation and collaboration are valued. The most important trait a person can bring to this role is having care at the core of everything they do and have the integrity to uphold the highest of standards.

  • Experience of working at a senior management level in a care organisation, with extensive knowledge of the supported living sector.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures relating to care provision.
  • Flexibility to conduct quality and compliance visits across all sites, including out of hours.
  • Experience in managing compliance processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or RGN / RMN AND at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory and quality standards, such as CQC requirements and other industry standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
