Key Responsibilities:

  • Production of monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet
  • Preparation and posting of journals, accruals and prepayments
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and investigation of variances
  • Management reporting packs and supporting commentary for group submission
  • Cost and margin analysis
  • Cashflow monitoring and reporting
  • Supporting transactional finance activities, including reviewing purchase ledger and sales ledger postings
  • Assisting with payment runs
  • Supporting bank reconciliations
  • Ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to support operational decision-making
  • Supporting process improvements and maintaining strong financial controls

Key Skills:

  • Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar interim role
  • Part-qualified, qualified, or qualified by experience (CIMA/ACCA/ACA desirable but not essential)
  • Comfortable working across both management accounting and transactional finance
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with finance systems
  • Able to hit the ground running and adapt quickly in an interim capacity

Interim Management Accountant (3-Month Assignment) Rotherham | Office Based 40,000 – 50,000 DOE (pro rata) Immediate / Short-Term Start Sharp Consultancy are pleased to be supporting a Rotherham-based SME, operating as a subsidiary of a large group, in their search for an Interim Management Accountant. This is a 3-month interim assignment, created to provide additional resource within the finance team during a busy period. This role will suit a hands-on Management Accountant who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced SME environment and can quickly add value across both reporting and transactional activities. The Role: Reporting to the senior finance lead, you will support the day-to-day running of the finance function.
