Management Accountant

Interim Management Accountant (3-Month Assignment) Rotherham | Office Based 40,000 – 50,000 DOE (pro rata) Immediate / Short-Term Start Sharp Consultancy are pleased to be supporting a Rotherham-based SME, operating as a subsidiary of a large group, in their search for an Interim Management Accountant. This is a 3-month interim assignment, created to provide additional resource within the finance team during a busy period. This role will suit a hands-on Management Accountant who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced SME environment and can quickly add value across both reporting and transactional activities. The Role: Reporting to the senior finance lead, you will support the day-to-day running of the finance function. Responsibilities will include: Production of monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet Preparation and posting of journals, accruals and prepayments Balance sheet reconciliations and investigation of variances Management reporting packs and supporting commentary for group submission Cost and margin analysis Cashflow monitoring and reporting Supporting transactional finance activities, including: Reviewing purchase ledger and sales ledger postings Assisting with payment runs Supporting bank reconciliations Ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to support operational decision-making Supporting process improvements and maintaining strong financial controls About You: Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar interim role Part-qualified, qualified, or qualified by experience (CIMA/ACCA/ACA desirable but not essential) Comfortable working across both management accounting and transactional finance Strong Excel skills and confidence working with finance systems Able to hit the ground running and adapt quickly in an interim capacity What’s On Offer?
