Summary: The Manufacturing Process Engineer role at Meritus involves supporting serial production at an aerospace site in Broughton. The position requires collaboration between various departments to ensure accurate work instructions and efficient production processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Define and document assembly processes, tooling specifications, and methods for implementing production modifications.
- Create and maintain manufacturing engineering dossiers, ensuring alignment with design documentation.
- Launch parts and assemblies into production and provide shopfloor support, including additional instructions during disruptions or breakdowns.
- Analyse production anomalies and deviation data, optimise processes, and raise concessions where required.
- Contribute to product definition, production, and verification methods, supporting industrial work-sharing activities.
- Define Design/Production breakdowns, manufacturing schedules, and interface specifications to ensure consistency across reference elements.
- Review design dossiers and raise technical queries as necessary.
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of assembly systems, machining processes, and/or manual assembly methods.
- Proven experience in work preparation and industrialisation.
- Hands-on experience using SAP for manufacturing work instructions.
- Proficient with MS Office and/or Google Workspace.
- Well-organised, proactive, and collaborative, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
