Summary: The Process Engineer for Battery Assembly will lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers, focusing on developing and implementing efficient manufacturing processes while ensuring quality standards and cost targets are met. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers in the Battery Assembly area, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
  • Develop and implement department strategy for power tooling, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Ensure efficient manufacturing processes for Battery Assembly meet quality standards, cost targets, and delivery schedules.
  • Utilize knowledge of PFC, PFMEA, Control Plan, and SOP preparations.
  • Apply expertise in Li-Ion Battery assembly processes, including cell sorting, laser welding, and data traceability.
  • Implement cost-effective solutions on Poka Yoke and manage EBOM and MBOM.
  • Prepare layouts, calculate TAKT Time, Throughput time, cycle time, and line balancing.
  • Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to optimize manufacturability and resolve issues.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, cost analyses, and capacity planning for new product introductions and process improvements.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, mitigating potential risks in manufacturing processes.
  • Evaluate and select equipment, tools, and technologies to optimize production capabilities.
  • Provide technical expertise to resolve manufacturing issues or bottlenecks in Battery Assembly Processes.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, innovation, and collaboration within the manufacturing engineering team.
  • Support launches of Battery assembly, providing relevant process, tooling, and facilities.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers as part of the Battery Assembly area providing guidance, support and mentorship.
  • Develop & implement department strategy for power tooling, working with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes for Battery Assembly, ensuring quality standards, cost targets, and delivery schedules are met.
