Summary: The role of Interim Finance Director involves leading a team of Financial Controllers across multiple countries while partnering closely with the Fractional CFO, CEO, and COO in a growing international business. The successful candidate will be responsible for month-end close processes, forecasting, and management reporting. This fully remote position requires collaboration across time zones, primarily during UK core hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coach Financial Controllers (US/UK/ASIAPAC) to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
- Own the end-to-end month-end close, group reporting rhythm, and performance pack.
- Drive cash visibility: forecasting, working capital, and short-term liquidity management.
- Build and run forecasting and budgeting (including scenario modelling).
- Improve management reporting: KPIs, variance analysis, and actionable insights for CEO/COO.
- Strengthen financial controls, policies, and audit readiness across multiple entities.
- Roll sleeves up on delivery: reconciliations, review, problem-solving, and unblock the team.
- Partner with the Fractional CFO on priorities (board pack support, finance roadmap, key initiatives).

- Proven Interim/contract FD or senior finance lead experience in a hands-on capacity.
- Strong track record leading month-end, management reporting, and forecasting.
