Role Overview

As a Seating CAD Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting, developing, and leading seating system integration activities within vehicle programs. You will play a key role in delivering robust seating system designs aligned with product integration and forward model architecture requirements, working collaboratively across internal teams and external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support, develop, and lead Seating System Integration activities across product development programs
  • Ensure seating system strategies align with overall vehicle and program expectations
  • Collaborate closely with Packaging teams to define, review, and confirm system interfaces
  • Work alongside internal CAE teams (Crash, NVH, Durability) to ensure designs meet performance and validation requirements
  • Deliver high-quality Seating System CAD geometries (3D models and associated data) in line with design and packaging constraints
  • Utilize CATIA V6 / 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) toolsets for design, integration, and data management
  • Conduct and support system validation activities to ensure compliance with engineering and regulatory requirements
  • Study new concepts and refine or modify design intent in line with program needs
  • Align design solutions with Core Team recommendations and overall vehicle strategy
  • Engage with and manage suppliers, ensuring component feasibility, manufacturability, and timely delivery
  • Contribute to cross-functional discussions to resolve integration, packaging, and design challenges
