Senior AI Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Senior AI Architect & Engineer to help shape the future of AI across EA Experiences. This is an exciting opportunity to design, build, and deploy innovative AI-powered solutions that transform content creation, analytics, business processes, and operational efficiency across a global organisation.

As a key member of the AI Enablement team, you will architect and deliver AI-native solutions leveraging cutting-edge technologies including AI agents, multi-agent systems, large language models (LLMs), vision and diffusion models, knowledge graphs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and intelligent automation platforms. You will work closely with creative, product, marketing, engineering, data, and operational teams to identify high-value opportunities, rapidly prototype solutions, and scale successful initiatives into production. This role offers the chance to influence AI strategy while remaining deeply technical and hands-on. International travel opportunities may be available to collaborate with global teams.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and Deliver AI Solutions

• Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end AI-native applications and multi-agent workflows from concept through to production.
• Create scalable AI architectures that transform content creation, analytics, and core business operations.
• Establish reusable AI patterns, frameworks, and standards to accelerate adoption across the organisation.

Drive AI-Powered Content Innovation

• Build AI tools, assistants, and workflows that enable teams to ideate, generate, localise, and optimise content across text, image, video, and interactive experiences.
• Support creative and marketing teams with solutions that enhance productivity while maintaining brand quality and audience engagement.

Lead Data, Knowledge & RAG Architecture

• Design and implement data lakes, vector databases, knowledge bases, and knowledge graph solutions.
• Develop robust Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures that power intelligent AI assistants and enterprise knowledge systems.

Productionise AI at Scale

• Take ownership of the journey from prototype to production deployment.
• Integrate AI solutions with existing systems, platforms, and workflows.
• Define observability, monitoring, reliability, and performance standards for AI-powered products.

Champion AI Governance & Responsible AI

• Implement guardrails, evaluation frameworks, and governance models addressing privacy, security, intellectual property, safety and bias.
• Establish acceptance criteria, risk thresholds, and incident management processes for AI systems.

Collaborate Across the Business

• Partner with stakeholders across product, engineering, marketing, creative, operations, legal, and data teams to identify opportunities and deliver impactful solutions.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear business value and actionable outcomes.

Lead Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Drive rapid experimentation through proof-of-concept, pilot, and production cycles.
• Define success metrics, measure business impact, and continuously optimise models, prompts, workflows, and user experiences.
• Help establish AI-first engineering practices that accelerate product development and delivery.

Promote AI Adoption

• Act as an AI ambassador across the organisation.
• Deliver workshops, demonstrations, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Mentor teams on emerging AI technologies, tools, and best practices.

Skills & Experience Required

Essential

• 8+ years' experience designing, architecting, and deploying enterprise-scale software solutions.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience delivering AI solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
• Strong Python development skills.
• Proven experience with: AI agents and agentic architectures, Multi-agent systems, Prompt and context engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Embeddings and vector databases, LLM integration and orchestration, AI evaluation, benchmarking, and guardrails.
• Experience designing and implementing data pipelines and AI infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, microservices, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, and telemetry.
• Experience deploying solutions in cloud environments (AWS preferred; Azure and GCP beneficial).
• Knowledge of responsible AI practices, including governance, privacy, security, and intellectual property considerations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional and globally distributed teams.

Desirable

• Experience with C#, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Hands-on experience with AI-powered software engineering tools such as Cursor, Kiro, or similar platforms.
• Experience tuning language models and diffusion models.
• Knowledge of content generation workflows across text, image, video, and interactive media.
• Experience leading technical initiatives within large-scale organisations.
