Summary: This role is for a Senior Buyer specializing in commodities, responsible for end-to-end procurement processes and strategic sourcing activities. The successful candidate will report to the Procurement Manager and manage supplier relationships globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and deliver Strategic Commodity Dossiers and Commodity Business Plans
- Lead global sourcing activities through the Global Sourcing Process to contract award
- Develop and run commodity strategies aligned to business, market, and supplier insights
- Lead supplier negotiations, contracting, and supplier performance management
- Drive cost target achievement pre- and post-contract award using TCO/TVO principles
- Manage supplier relationships globally, including Supplier Business Reviews
- Partner cross-functionally with engineering, finance, manufacturing, and programme teams
- Oversee capacity planning, supply chain risk management, and compliance activities
- Ensure effective handover to regional teams following sourcing decisions
