Summary: MacGregor Black is seeking a Senior National Account Manager for a Food and Beverage Manufacturing Business. The role involves taking full ownership of a P&L for key retail and branded foodservice customers, driving growth and profitability through strategic planning and commercial negotiations. This position is a 9-12 month fixed-term contract with a hybrid working arrangement. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in national account management within FMCG, particularly with major grocery retailers. Strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and experience in the coffee or foodservice sectors are highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of P&L for a portfolio of key retail and branded foodservice customers, ensuring delivery of annual targets and alignment with longer-term strategy.
- Build and execute Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with major customers, covering product, price, promotion, and placement.
- Lead commercial negotiations and trading terms with senior stakeholders, driving profitable growth across coffee and equipment.
- Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities by leveraging market insights, category trends, and data analysis.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, Technical, and international teams to deliver best-in-class customer solutions.
- Drive process improvements, optimise account management practices, and influence ways of working both internally and externally.
- Represent the business in senior-level customer meetings, trade events, and industry forums.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven track record in national account management within FMCG, ideally managing Top 4 Grocery retailers.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience delivering growth and managing complex P&Ls.
- Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills at senior levels.
- Highly analytical with the ability to translate data and market insights into actionable strategies.
- Strong business development and customer relationship-building skills.

- Confident communicator with excellent presentation skills.
- Experience in coffee, beverages, or foodservice categories is advantageous, particularly with coffee machines.
