The role
Our client, a global life sciences business, is looking to hire an experienced software / integration engineer on a contract basis. It's a role for a strong software engineer who's comfortable working with AI without being a machine-learning specialist — someone who can take a powerful internal platform and make it genuinely usable across the business. What you'll be doing
Building integrations between product applications and the enterprise AI platform via its APIs. Designing reusable integration patterns that drive consistent adoption across teams. Supporting document-automation workflows - deconstructing and rebuilding documents, templating, and pulling internal knowledge into submissions. Contributing to the UI / abstraction layer that sits over the platform's AI capabilities. Working effectively across a distributed team spanning the UK, US and India. What we're looking for
A strong software engineering background with real systems-integration experience. Confident with integration patterns and practices - REST APIs, authentication, error handling, event-driven design. A working understanding of LLMs and how to consume AI via APIs. Self-directed, and happy working asynchronously across time zones.Nice to have
Experience in regulated / validated environments (pharma, life sciences, GxP). Exposure to document-processing or workflow-automation systems.
