Key Responsibilities:

  • Gaining experience in geotechnical investigations and soils data interpretation

Key Skills:

  • Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or related field)

  • Proven experience with SACS or similar offshore structural analysis software
  • Passion for energy infrastructure and sustainable development
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in structural, civil, and geotechnical engineering, including techno-economic assessments
  • Strong communication skills and proactive attitude
  • Professional registration or working towards professional registration is desirable

What You Will Do Join Genesis UK as an early / mid-career Structural / Civil Engineer and help shape the future of sustainable energy. At Genesis, we’re working on cutting-edge projects like major carbon capture, transportation and storage, gigawatt scale green hydrogen, electrification of new and existing facilities, and new development / modification studies for Oil and Gas infrastructure. As a Structural / Civil Engineer in our UK Facilities Project and Discipline Engineering Team, you will support multi-disciplinary studies at (typically) early project stages, helping develop offshore and onshore energy infrastructure solutions. You’ll collaborate with experienced engineers within our 50+ strong multi-discipline facilities engineering team, developing innovative solutions for greenfield and brownfield energy projects, such as: Structural design for offshore / onshore foundations and topsides structures Onshore structures and foundations Civil design of onshore site preparation, earthworks, foundations and temporary works Geotechnical assessment interpretation for foundation design Brownfield modifications and equipment transport planning A key part of your role will involve performing detailed structural analyses, including finite element modelling and load assessments, with particular emphasis on experience using SACS for offshore structure analysis. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with and support the team lead for structural, civil, and marine disciplines, gaining valuable experience in project leadership and multidisciplinary coordination.
