Title: Thermal Mechanical Engineer

Description: Thermal Mechanical Engineer Radar Programmes, BAE Systems Location : Cowes Duration: Initial 6 months Working Arrangements: 3-4 days per week on site (will be flexible after initial period) Hourly Rate: £51.86 PAYE or £70 Umbrella We're looking for an experienced Thermal Mechanical Engineer to lead the development of innovative radar technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and influence the future of mechanical engineering across a diverse radar portfolio. What you'll do: Lead thermal mechanical engineering activities on advanced radar programmes. Provide technical guidance to Mechanical and CAD Engineers. Oversee project work packages and support delivery to cost, schedule and quality targets. Collaborate with project stakeholders to achieve programme objectives. Champion engineering excellence and continuous improvement. What we're looking for: Strong thermal mechanical engineering experience within complex engineering environments. Expertise in thermal management systems, including heat exchangers. Proven technical leadership and stakeholder management skills. Ability to apply engineering principles to solve challenging problems and support others in doing the same. Experience with CFD, FEA, composite materials, engineering standards, or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status would be advantageous.
